Ann Akre - Founder and Executive Producer
Ann started the awards program in 2012 to bring a spotlight to Portland’s burgeoning reputation for innovation in the style and fashion industry. She also hoped that the program would serve as a catalyst to encourage more collaboration within the Portland’s creative community. In the seven years since it's inception, Ann has proven that collaboration and recognition can provide development in the fashion industry. Ann is a respected individual throughout Portland and is always eager to lend a hand to help others achieve their dreams.
Along with PFSA, Ann is the owner and founder of Venus Allure Salon and Spa located on SE Belmont, offering top-of-the line services and luxurious spa experiences. Ann's commitment to the community and causes near and dear to her heart can be seen in her generous donation of her time to various organizations throughout Portland, including PFSA's beneficary partner, JDRF - Turning Type One into Type None, in honor of her nephew and god-child, Jaxson, who was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes at the age of 2.
Anne Marie Sketch - producer
Anne Marie joined PFSA in 2017 and is excited to be back in it's seventh year. Anne Marie brings over 10 years of event management experience to PFSA and is excited to continue to work wit founder Ann Akre to further grow the organization.
Prior to joining PFSA, Anne Marie had a career in youth education programs and events, having served as an Association Manager and Leadership Specialist with TRI Leadership Resources and Program Manager at Young Entrepreneurs Business Week. She is a graduate of Hamline University in Minnesota where she studied Political Science, Fashion Merchandising and Business Administration, leading her to complete research on the Rana Plaze Factory Collapse of 2013.
Outside of PFSA, Anne Marie can be found managing her businesses, including Heel the Sole, an innovative shoe insert she developed and co-founded.
Hadassah Jeremiah - Fashion Show and Events Cordinator
Hadassah is a graduate of Art Institute of Portland and has served in a variety of roles with PFSA over the past five years. Throughout her time with PFSA, she has managed the two fashion shows during the annual awards show, worked with models and designs for fittings and aided in managing the event each year.
When not working with PFSA, Hadassah enjoys designing clothes, including looks that have been featured in various fashion shows throughout Portland.
Poison Waters - 2018 Celebrity co-Host
Poison Waters is not just a personality. Poison is an experience!! Whether dressed as Poison Waters or her alter ego Kevin Cook, they are both captivating.
For over two decades Poison has been having tons of FUN entertaining from countless Northwest stages. She has been coordinating, participating in and hosting an endless docket of benefits, revues and shows for various local, regional and national nonprofit organizations. She has been recognized and rewarded for sharing her talents with such charities as Cascade AIDS Project, Make a Wish Foundation, Bradley Angle, Human Dignity Coalition, Oregon Humane Society and the American Heart Association. Poison has satisfied audiences of such recognizable clients as Alaska Airlines, Hewlett-Packard, Absolut, Seattle Metropolitan and Portland Monthly magazines, Pacific Place and Hawaii Visitor & Convention Bureau, just to name a few. The invitations never stop; hundreds of thousands have enjoyed her wit, charm and beauty! When she is not emceeing events while traveling the globe, she is the cohost at the legendary Darcelle XV Showplace where she has been wildly popular for over 20 years.
